Elia Handsa is a planning and consulting company in transportation engineering and geographic information systems (GIS). The company was founded in 1996 by Dr. Elia Ben Shabat, as a boutique office that mainly deals with transportation simulations, and over the 30 years of its existence, it has expanded its activities to other fields. As of today, the company provides end-to-end services (one stop shop) in the field of transportation engineering, and since its establishment has taken an active part in the large and significant projects in the field of infrastructure, which have been implemented in the State of Israel.
In addition to the engineering planning activity (physical, traffic and traffic lights) the company deals with transportation planning, simulations, public transportation, and in the last two years began operating in the field of geographic information systems (GIS).
The company expresses the value of innovation by adopting new planning tools, developing work methodologies, and taking responsibility for unique tasks for its customers. These are possible thanks to the strong professional base and managerial courage. Center The company began developing a geographic information system for public transportation, based on a huge database (Big Data) of transportation data, which is documented and robust by the development team.
